They didn’t have the intermediate I rented so they gave me a “free upgrade” to a 2018 brand new V8 Armada. So much leather, wood, amenities, etc. drove it for 2 miles and immediately turned it in. I loathed it immediately. Got this instead and much happier being in a basic, small, fuel sipping car for a 500 mile trip.

The closest comparison would be that it’s a 2018 reincarnation of my 2nd car, a Chevy cobalt, but auto. It still drives better than a cobalt though. And it’s a hatch like my FoST! It makes me nostalgic in a way, for what it is I like it. If I ever get a cheap beater it would be this or similar.

I test drove a Hyundai this last weekend. I experienced a lot more road noise than expected. Same problem on this model?

Quieter than my cobalt by far, louder than the FoST. It’s a close to base model so I’m not surprised. I don’t have an issue but I grew up in cheap cars with more road noise
