Finally got the Rover to drivable condition after a 10 month hiatus in the garage. Only have the driver’s seat in currently, and most of the rest of the interior is in disarray. First stop was to get some fresh gas, then immediately to the car wash. This was actually last Sunday, but I have been so bizzy bizzy I haven’t had a chance to post it. Very excited to get the rest of the stuff knocked off the checklist so I can start enjoying it.

Good show, that’s a good beginning.

On the other hand, are those headlights something special? (HID?) Because that’s how imagine the eyes of Rosemary’s Baby.

Are the headlights JW Speakers or look-a-likes? How are they either way?

Man those classic Rangies sure look great. I have somehow managed to avoid one, but eventually my luck will run out.

Look-a-likes for sure. I just wanted something brighter than the sealed beams that were on there (which were scary dim at night). JW speaker was a little rich for my blood. So far have been really impressed with them, but only have turned them on a few times in the garage. Can’t speak to how they are on the road.

Got them on Amazon for $60

Haha, yeah I just wanted something brighter than stock. Cheap Amazon LEDs.

Buy it for the looks, keep it because you’re stubborn and can’t admit it was a bad idea.

I think this holds for pretty much all British vehicles.

The sealed beams on my jeep were the first thing to go. I went with trucklites, while they are super bright and light years beyond the oem’s, they have some funny annoying hot spots in the beam pattern. JW’s were well out of my budget too, goodness $7-800 for some headlights seems crazy.

I know, considering this is a second car I have for funtimes, I can’t justify spending that kind of money on lights. These were cheap and had good reviews on Amazon so I just went for it.

Here’s some more pics of the lights, including a comparison vs. the sealed beam. Highly scientific I know.
