Rover 75

That was the concept Joseph Piech... (something or other) wanted to use to revive the Riley name.
He had a love for old British cars.
Prototypes and concept cars.
One that a guy actually built.

I love the execution but prefer the 4.6 V8 front end over the 2.5 V6 one.

first time i’ve heard of someone making their own 75 coupe.
nicely done by the looks of it.

Ye’, if it just had the V8 front end rather than the V6 MG front end.
But other than that it looks fantastic.

maybe it’ll be added later.

It doesn’t look like a lot of work would be needed to swap out the two front bumper, grille and headlights.

That looks awesome, I always loved those angry headlights on the 75. I see a 4-series body underneath but his dashboard and panel work looks seamless from those photos.

The headlights dated very quickly.
We had a 2003 Rover 75 Connoisseur 1.8 K Series in a dark metallic blue.
It looked good but the interior was very small, certainly against how big the exterior was.

Didn’t know someone was doing a proper coupe replica build but Retro Sports Cars (formerly MG Lifestyle) are building (possibly complete by now) an MG ZT Coupe with the V8 and a wide arch kit

I like the ZT and ZTT body kit.

The 75 was a great looking car. Shame Rover turned out the way it did. You can’t even get one in China now, as the (basically identical) Roewe version was discontinued back in 2016.
RIP Rover 75, 1998-2016.

wasn’t aware Roewe version had finished.
cheers for that info.

I’ve had one of each (minus the body kit) they are decent cars just come with some annoying flaws which puts me off getting any more of them

We just had a 1.8 Connoisseur. the rear legroom was awful, the knee room in the front was awful. The rear sunblind was cool though. I always wanted to put a sign on it that said, ‘back off’.

I never had any issues with interior space, maybe the seats are bigger in the Rovers?

Ther were comfy, but I preferred the Rover 820si saloon we had. That was like sitting in an arm chair and floating over potholes.
