But even my dog was pumped about last night’s game.
And for everyone’s time, here’s a car....er, a truck.

Shame.

Eh, it was a good series. Still think the Leafs got the raw end of the deal on the Kadri suspension—I don’t see how that’s 3 games when Morrissey got 1 for trying to push his stick through someone’s neck—but had they showed up in the first place in Game 1 it wouldn’t have happened, would it?
Also, can I get a Bruins fan perspective on a couple penalties:
Game 5, Backes/Hyman, how exactly does Gardiner end up in the box? Penalty for headbutting Chara in the fist I guess?
Game 6, Backes again, elbows Freddie in the face, Ref has his arm up for that, Polak comes in and suddenly it’s offsetting minors—initial call disappears. What?
It can’t change anything and the refs sucked both ways to some extent but I’d be interested to hear the explanation from the opposite bias.

It was a great series. I got so downtrodden yesterday when Kapanen put that SH goal in the net to take the lead. It looked vaguely like he hit Marchand’s leg out from under him, which probably would have made me angry if it was any other player. But regardless, it was a beautiful play that fooled the hell out of Rask.
I’m not entirely convinced that Kadri’s suspension would have been 3 games if it was not him involved. He does have a bit of a history of dirty plays (much like Marchand), but Wingels was on his knees with his back to Kadri when he was hit against the boards. I don’t think he did himself any favors by telling reporters after the game that he wasn’t in control when he hit the guy, as well as admitting it was retribution.
As for my perspective on the plays you refer to...
Game 5: Gardiner shouldn’t have been sent to the box, plain and simple. He was trying to break up the fight, not instigate anything. That was a BS call the refs made.
Game 6: Eh, tough to say. Both players committed penalties. A similar thing happened in game 7, when Nash got cross-checked. There was an impending penalty call that would have given the Bruins a man advantage if Nash hadn’t returned the favor and popped Bozak in the back of the helmet. Side note, Andersen’s save in the 1st period when he was on his ass and swatted the puck out of the air with his stick was magnificent.
The refs definitely blew several calls against both teams, I can’t dispute that one bit.
Sorry about the Ford, is this better?

The Preds/Jets series is by far the most intriguing matchup that I have no vested interest in. I actually do rather like both teams, and I think they are going to have a great series.

Kappy was due. Too bad it had to come in a loss, but he was definitely due. He was buzzing all series.
That’s literally the only thing I can come up with is a history thing. Nothing else really makes sense. Even then I think 2 was harsh in the playoffs when there’s worse hits getting just 1, but meh it’s done.
That’s what I thought. Didn’t think it was just the blue and white glasses.
See, I can see that ending up 4 on 4, but the penalties don’t make sense to me. To my mind, you can call Polak for roughing and Backes for the elbow... but if you’re giving Backes 2 for roughing there’s a missing penalty there. Just weird. Freddie seemed a bit off this series. He made some spectacular saves, had one terrible game, and then looked like that tying goal last night rattled him. He was stellar up to that point, and then he looked uncomfortable. Yeah, Jake was stupid on the 5-4 goal... still 99% of the time Freddie stops that. Most goalies should have that one.
It is what it is. Congrats.
Much better :)

Sure seems like an ideal series for this:
