What would you choose and why? Friend is looking to buy within the next few days and can’t make up her mind....

Frankly, none of the above. The caddy is quick in a straight line, if it has the v8, but that’s about it’s only redeeming quality akaik.
I’d kneejerk towards the Acura, but from some of the conversations I’ve heard it doesn’t exactly exude that Honda quality.
MKC... Is that a Lincoln or something? *Shrug* Probably a pass.
Has your friend considered any comparable Infiniti’s, by chance? I bought one that I’m very happy with, and would choose it again if added to the above short-list. Different strokes for different folks though, and all that.

Assuming the RDX is the current, soon-to-be replaced RDX with the V6, and not the older turbo one, I’d go that route. The original turbo one has SH-AWD but is hamstrung by a 5-speed auto that can’t keep it in the powerband. The V6 one has more basic awd but at least is better to drive day to day. Quality is definitely a step above the other two, even if it’s not super premium and shares a platform with the CR-V.
(The new one coming out this summer is going back to turbo and SH-AWD but with far more gears in the transmission.)

Who would want a damned tarted up Datsun?!
Get the tarted up Chevy instead!

Someone who likes having the ability to both navigate corners at speed, and replace headlight bulbs without necessitating the complete removal of the front end?

I’ll choose the MKC hands down.
I’d actually consider buying one myself.

RDX. Totally not biased at all.

Lincoln. Technically the MKX should be in contention, too, since it’s close to the size of the SRX.
MKC wins (of the trio) for material quality, best infotainment of the three, best seats of the three, commonality with the Escape keeping repair costs lower, and also looking the best.
The RDX loses for the wretched infotainment system, so-so seats, bland interior, and the eggtooth grille.
The SRX just sucks in general. The 3.6L has high-pressure fuel pump and timing chain issues. CUE is the worst, and do a quick search for the scores of thousands of CUE units replaced in modern cadillacs. The ergonomics are awful. The rear liftgate motor is underpowered (but admittedly does have an easy adjustable height setting on the driver’s door), and the storage area surprisingly cramped for the size of the vehicle (style over substance). I will say the panoramic roof is nice, and unlike the Grand Cherokee (as I see them with this most) the accordion wind blockers don’t pop off their guides that often that I’ve seen.

MKC. The Caddy is tired and cramped on the inside. The Acura is shockingly bland.
The MKC is modern. The 2.0 is adequate. The 2.3 is almost sporty. There’s room inside for creatures of all sorts and sizes. That’s my pick.

Infiniti and navigate corners at speed don’t go together anymore than any of the other choices....

Tell that to the caddy stuck in the weeds.

Wuts wrong with the CR-V :I

RDX because Honda. The maintainance on the Lincoln and Caddie is outrageous and they probably won’t last as long.

This one, he sums it up better than I can.

Nothing “wrong” just not exactly a luxury car platform.

RDX for reliability and resale. SRX for driving enjoyment (probably not a priority for a crossover buyer). MKC because it’s likely the cheapest.

SRX so I don’t have to say I have an RDX. Of course, I’d then have to say I had an SRX, but that could be solved with a brick and a cliff
