How many people even have a 4k capable tv though? Or an internet connection that can hold a steady 4k stream?

I watched Coco in 4k, it was amazing. Blueray is still pretty good though and I’d be hard pressed to see the difference. My amazon streaming will just downgrade the resolution if there is a slower internet connection. This has only happened once.

Well I know what I’m watching tonight. I’ve put this off for FAR too long. (Forgive me, Oppo.)

As of may 2017, 16% of US homes had a 4k TV. Only about 39% of the rural US population lacks the access to the recommended bandwidth to stream 4k videos on Netflix (25mbps)

*raises hand*

150 Mbps isp. 65" in the living room, 42" in our bedroom...

Soon(ish) to be 70+” in the living room, 65" in our room, and the 42" is either going in the kitchen or the baby’s room.

A grand, give or take, buys a heluva lotta tv these days.

Oh, I’m not rolling in it, believe me. Wasn’t intended to be a a brag.

The upgrade to the 65 was out of necessity. I couldn’t read the epg from across the living room on the 42", and we were using a 20" computer monitor in our room and I couldn’t read the epg on that either. Now we’ve got a kid, so tv is pretty much it for entertainment. If they cost much more, I’d still be squinting at that 42, believe you me.
