I’m considering painting the interior doors flat black so there’s no red visible like there is above. Yay or nay?

At some point the actual door latch/lock assembly will be replaced with an identical piece in solid aluminum. Black.

Strap will be added as well. I like the red idea

Nay. I think time better spent elsewhere. Build some nice door panels with Porsche-esque straps like LongbowMkII already suggested.

RS style? I will be getting those soon. Need to find which ones are best and then also figure a lightweight/pretty solution to cover up the indentations from the factory arm rest/handle

I see why you want to, but it will look more out of place to paint over the factory paint... unless you then also paint the whole car black...

Personally if I saw that, my immediate though would be that the car was poorly repainted and was previously black. Is it visible with the door closed?

This is a good point. I’d have to do something special to get it to look like it wasn’t just a bad respray, and painting isn’t one of my strongest skills. I think I’ll leave it alone for now

If you want to see what you prefer with the color couldn’t you use PlastiDip or some other spray on wrap to change it?
