No pic because there was no damage, but I’d like it to stop please. This time it was someone in a ratty Grand Prix. Last time it was Optima-on-Optima violence.
I barely even drive it anymore because I have a work vehicle now, but the second I go for a drive it gets smacked.

That really sucks, man.
You know what also sucks? There’s a joke somewhere in there about not wanting to bottom and I can’t think of a tactful way to word it.

I was rear ended in the highway toll both once, ever since that I try to establish myself as a horrible driver before the toll booth, so that they keep their distance

Come on, don’t go making fhrblig the butt end of the joke now.

Or there’s the old standby:

You can accomplish the same by putting Florida plates on your car. I stay the hell away from any car I see with those when I’m in traffic.

Well, I live in Mexico City and I have Mexico State plates.
I guess Mexico State isn’t our Florida, it’s more like our Texas; overwhelmingly large, powerful, and backwards.
The worst drivers I’ve ever seen are those from the northern states, but don’t tell them, they have a very fragile ego ;)

You too, eh?
I don’t think the other car was damaged either, but it’s hard to tell because it had what looked like existing front end damage. I suspect he isn’t a very good driver.

WAIT I THINK I’VE GOT IT:
“I guess we know who does the rear-ending in your relationship”

God, I hope not for their s.o.’s sake. It must be annoying if they’re always flying in fast with no warning.

There are drivers that are good in Mexico?
I take that back, the drivers there are actually amazing. I couldn’t drive without getting in a wreck constantly in the moving chaos they call driving down there. I bow before their mastery.
They also mostly drive manuals, which makes it that much more impressive.

Thanks for correcting yourself, we are absolutely masters of our craft, specially in Mexico City.
/s
I joke, I didn’t even need to take a driver’s test before being given a license, but we all know how to drive out of
fear
of those nonexistent tests; so our parents are very careful and teach us how to drive for an interesting amount of time. We also follow signalling selectively, for instance a few months ago they put on some signs with “1 y 1" on highway exits/entrances so that we use the zipper method, now I see the zipper method in every intersection, as if we collectively decided it was the best way!

It would be fun seeing crash statistics in Mexico City vs New York, or Monterrey vs LA; just to see how messed up it is

They still haven’t figured out the zipper merge here.
It’s almost like our well-followed rules and so many of them takes the humanity and cooperation out of driving. It looks like chaos, but the drivers are simply cooperating in a very human way with their cars as an extension of their bodies.

But we have shitty drivers too.
