A bit like Lenny/of mice and men, and by extension all those Looney Tunes cartoons with the yeti... There’s also that other strip with a dog bringing a kid back like this and the mom is telling her friend how even though the dog’s jaws can crush soup bones, she “brings Billy home with only a few cuts and bruises”.

I don’t think vampires could work for the Ghostbusters because they’d have no stake in the company.

I don’t think you need a soul to see ghosts because I’m pretty sure Haley Osment sold his to Hollywood a long time ago.

Here I was thinking they’d be all in, if they had some dirt on the company - ba-dum-tish.

My thesis on whether souls are required to see ghosts/whether they are actually physically manifest in terms of light in the Ghostbusters universe has to do with whether the Ghostbusters commercial in the movie featured any real ghosts, whether the Ghostbusters music video exists *within* the Ghostbusters universe, and whether there is any photographic evidence of ghosts. Maybe in GB2? Haven’t seen it in a while. I also might be overthinking this.

Also, Haley Joel Osment is a wraith, so of course he has a soul. A soul corrupted by power and enslaved to dark forces, not absent.

This might be a good fan fiction scenario (Is there GB fan fiction?; that’s another question). However, then you get into that thing with the two opposing mirrors in the elevator that makes me close my eyes until I get to my floor.

I am struck by how the adult forms of HJO and Will Wheaton now look alike. Perhaps over time, the evil forces that master them have twisted them toward a common, diabolical manifestation (note to self: another possible pitch for a SyFy channel “reality” show).
