Was getting a feel for how grippy the summer tyres were, did panic stops, ABS kicked in, suddenly pedal went to the floor.

Oh well. on the bright side that’s the last of the steel lines, once i replace both of these they’re all copper now, and rather it blow half a km from home when dicking around on back roads than when you actually *need* to stop on the highway.

At least you didn’t blow a seal.

Judging by the amount of oil coating the engine, it ain’t far off...

Looked bad at first, but once it’s unbolted and out of the clips it was a decently easy pull!

Can imagine it sucking in traffic, but luckily was on the backroads and alone, so just gently rolled home

I was in traffic. Luckily it was a small enough leak, that I was able to nurse it home three miles.

Reminds me of the time I got super lucky with my brakes failing. Back when I had an utter shitbox of an e30, I got in one morning, pushed in the clutch and brake as I was about to start it, and the brake pedal went straight to the firewall. Looked under the hood, no fluid in the reservoir. I was really glad it happened before I started moving, and not the night before, driving down a very long, steep hill, with 3 people in the car....

Awful feeling when the pedal drops, isn’t it? Glad it was in controlled conditions, though!

Ouch, lost my brakes about two months ago. One of the biggest Oh Shit moments of my life when the pedal went straight to the floor.

Wasn’t that awful, more of a “wait what happend?” so i pressed it again and sat like “that’s not abs... OH” and drove home to wash the brakefluid off before it started eating paint too much
