Going to buy one off craigslist. Guy wanted to show it to me in a parking lot. I said if I can’t test it, I can’t buy it.
Agreed to meet at his place so he can plug it in and show me it works.
Other than it working right then and there, should I be on a lookout for any other kind of issues? Overheating? Oil leaking? Radiator hoses? Bad Am/FM reception? (yes, I know it doesn’t come with radiator or stereo or oil - JOKE)

Irony, thy name is Craigslist: CL shuts down the personals in response to a law to protect people from sexual predators, but they still leave up the other sections where people anonymously meet up to fuck each other.

Most of the tips I would have have to do with MIG torches, which it ain’t got. Only thing I would have reservations on would be if it’s got problems holding steady on voltage and current, and about the only way to find that out would be actually welding plate with it.

I’ll see if he can run a bead. Problem is this guy is selling because he used it for hobbying. I will also be using it for same purpose. I have no idea if this guy knows how to weld etc. I sure as hell don’t either. I’m gonna make sure sparks fly and call it good enough. It proves it’s not just a shell with Lincoln Electric name on it.
