well, it finally happened. Some opportunistic car thief saw one of our customer vehicles sitting outside and decided to drive off in it.
If anyone sees a new accord sport with Tim Marburger Honda stickers on the back, and bright red interior, call Charlotte Mecklenburg police.
The car looks like this:
It didn’t even have a license plate.

Aw shit man. Best of luck finding it. That’s a pretty handsome car FWIW

That sucks. No security cam footage?

that could salvage the account if it gets found.

Keep an eye out on your local classified pages for those wheels.

Nope. Getting in touch with neighbors who have cameras.

Is that a custom interior? I didn’t think you could get a new Accord Sport with any kind of leather, let alone red leather.

Look at some of my “work stuff” posts. I work for an aftermarket leather shop.

Ah! That explains it. Looks excellent. Hopefully you find the car.

Of all the Accords one could steal, this is the most stupid to select, the only Accord in the continental US with brand new red leather interior.
Looks nice, BTW.

That sucks - but dat red leather sure looks good in that car.
Hope they find it - in 1 piece. Good luck-

I’d buy an Accord 2.0T Sport manual with the white, have you do the red leather like this one, build the engine some more or do that Hondata tune or both, and then some red Honda badges just because. Or take it a step further and build a full out Accord Type-R.

Were the keys inside of it?

They were. The manager may have to pay the fine for leaving a car running. Our shop operators insurance rates will go up for sure.
As I’m the office guy with no authority to make decisions I don’t care if it’s found.
For what it’s worth it’s the first car stolen in 22 years of my operations manager heating them up.
Conservatively estimating 30 cars a week for 22 years and one theft out of all that. That’s 32k cars.

Probably just a joyrider.
A camera system would be a good investment for that property.

Probably. Or it’s being used in a crime. But if that were the case you’d think the dude would have taken the gold ‘15 LX that just got beige interior.

Damn I would hate to have to explain this to the dealer or customer, luckily you don’t!

Fortunately it was going back on the lot for sale.

we had one car knocked off from work 17-18 years ago.
all they ever found was the cylinder block.
