It’s Monday. If I fly low enough, maybe nobody will see me and leave me alone.

Supposedly, according to the original bad ass Chuck Yeager, if you flew low, level, and fast enough it would create a pressure zone beneath the aircraft that would prevent you from crashing. He claimed you could push the stick forward and the plane wouldn’t nose into the ground.
I’m pretty sure I read that some where on the internet.

Well, that’s the best thing I’ve heard this morning. Thanks.

It’s an amazing song, that never really got enough airplay.
I’m in the middle of a 20 person email thread, where we are voting on a March Madness-style bracket for the best one hit wonder of all time.
I emailed the exact same link to that group this morning, but it sadly wasn’t enough of a hit to qualify.

Music is such a subjective thing. I’m surprised you could even agree on the definition of “one-hit wonder.” I’d be interested to see that list, though.

We really couldn’t - one guy took the bull by the horns and after a lot of discussion, he defined it, chose the songs, and seeded them by drawing cards out of a hat. Otherwise it never would have gotten done. We ended up with 40 songs.
Originally, we decided on one hit wonders from the 70's-00's, because it fits the age range of the group.
We ended up with songs from the 60's, and several that were NOT one-hit wonders — and even had an emergency substitution this morning, when someone remembered that Robert Palmer had a LOT of hits besides Bad Case of Lovin’ You...

Thank you for removing Robert Palmer. Taken as a whole, that’s a pretty damned good playlist. But my vote, as a sentimental favorite, would have to be for Easy Livin. I love me some Uriah Heep.
Sometimes, I think I was born 10 years too late. However, had I been a boomer, I would likely have ended up in Vietnam. One must be careful what one wishes for.

Yeah, I scratched my head at that one, and I’m still pushing for the Hollies to be deleted for the same reason, but it is what it is.
Easy Livin’ - for whatever reason - seems to be the only song in the entire bracket that I have no recollection of. Weird, because it’s a good song, but I blanked on it.
