DOTS: not the usual Farm and Fleet spotting

I went to Farm and Fleet today to buy some jeans. For those of you not familiar with this midwestern chain, it’s exactly what it sounds like. Usually if I see an interesting vehicle there, it’s something like a cool Squarebody Chevy. I like the cut off whoever’s gib that drives their Lambo to Farm and Fleet.

I also like that they slid the license plate FOXSAKE past the DMV :)

Unfortunately they didn’t have any jeans in my fat with short legs size :/

I grew up in Indiana and spent years all around the Midwest, but I’ve never heard of Farm and Fleet. Is it something new? Am I missing out on something?

Really? They have everything from jeans to tools to farm supplies, to baby ducks (the woman checking out behind us was buying two of them). I love that place.

She took them out of the box and let my daughters pet them. Cute little buggers. One of them was very chatty. I wasn’t smart enough to take a picture of that.

Too bad that flabby orange thing is in the way, we could see more if it wasn’t there. Oh well. At least we saw it at all.

I know in Ohio all the Farm and Fleet stores closed when I was a kid. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the same in Indiana.

The closest equivalent here now would be Rural King or to a lesser extent Tractor Supply.

We don’t have any of those around these parts. Even Farm and Fleet is a bit of a drive, me being in the suburbs and all.
