Looking for a CPO Ecoboost Mustang with the Performance Pack (basically my exact car) for my buddy. I’ve only found 3 nationwide.
What other options does he have? $25k budget, warranty, manual, performance oriented.

How much space? How many seats? Does he want to/open to modding while on warranty? He want power or lightweight? Is RWD mandatory?
There’s got to be all sorts of options at $25k - that’s a decent budget- 86 twins, 370z, Camaro, hot hatch, WRX.

Why not just buy a CPO EcoBoost Mustang, and then have the dealer install whichever Performance Pack he wants? That will expand the number of cars in your search and still keep it CPO.
He can probably negotiate a better price on the PP that way as well.

Seats don’t matter, coupe is preferred, more power than an 86 can offer, RWD optional (Focus ST is in the running)

Dont know about certified pre-owned but used low mile the V6 LT 1LE Camaros ( an M2 fighter ) are starting to get down there in price.
A new BRZ or GT86 or if he wants to save money buy used.
New Honda Civic Si or Hatchback Sport. There are tunes for the Si to get up to 250hp.
Apparently Focus ST’s arent selling, high optioned new for $26K .
Also used WRXs are getting close to $25K
And i guess Nissan still makes a 370Z and this one is certified pre-owned

As far as I know the Performance Pack is a factory option, not dealer installed package. It’s bigger brakes, wheels, tires, suspension bits, and has oil pressure/boost gauges in place of the vents.

I’ve suggested most of these, the Camaro is really cool just too pricey still.
He’s against the WRX, “fuck Honda”, and he is seriously considering an ST. I can ask about the 370Z, that’d be a good fit for him and he can probably find one cheap.

If i were him, I’d want to at least test drive a 370z; but I prefer small and naturally aspirated cars. He may have different preferences. It maybe be a little old in the chassis and tech but you can get a CPO car with barely any miles for under his budget and finding a car with an LSD should be doable.

Gotcha....not sure why they used the same name for the factory Performance Pack as well as the EcoBoost Performance Packs

Thats referred to as the Power Pack, so similar that it’s silly. I actually have both on my car and it’s wonderful.

Bse GT would be solid but they are still pricey and the gas mileage isn’t great

You can find used one but just like the Mustang they are rare. Though this one is new for $27 .
And I get the 370z as a quick coupe and the tuner looks but I feel its just not a good car any more. Maybe back in its heyday of the 350z and first years when it could keep up with the V8 pony cars, but now as in this Motortrend review , its left behind. Too tall of a gear box, whimper tires unless you get a Nismo, and dated interior. They compared it to the V6 1LE and it gets smoked. They also compared it against an 8 speed auto and it was fairly close with the auto having a quicker figure 8 time. Add all that up and i know i suggested it but I wouldnt recommend it.
