When the checkered flag flew at Martinsville Speedway this afternoon, everything was coming up Clint. The No. 14 Ford driven by Clint Bowyer led a race high 212 laps, and dominated the final stage of the race. It would appear that SHR is back in full form after a somewhat shaky 2017, with the switch to Ford and taking on building their own cars.
Stewart Haas Racing has won 4 out of the first 6 races of the year, and came dangerously close to winning the Daytona 500 before driver Aric Almirola got bumped on the final lap by race winner Austin Dillon. Kevin Harvick has been a dominant force also, winning three races in a row.
Team Penske has yet to get a points race win, but the 3 car team is looking very strong, with Ryan Blaney in third place in the standings. In fact, all three Penske cars are in the top 5 currently, with Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski in fourth and fifth respectively.
While it is still quite early in the year, and there is a long way to Homestead, SHR and Team Penske are establishing themselves as real forces to be reckoned with this season. What do you think folks, could we see a blue oval take the Cup this year?

Penske is just a front to funnel the best ideas from Chevrolet (Indycar) and Honda (IMSA) to Ford’s powertrain development engineers.
As for SHR, we know they have Top Men working on this.
Top.
Men.

I’m not going to be satisfied until Austin gets punted into the wall by a Ford.

Does Harvick’s broken roof car get put in a crate and sealed away forever?
