Finally got a nice enough weekend to pull the Miata out of winter hibernation and take her for a quick spin around town. I didn’t get a chance to wash her before putting her away for the winter, so I gave her a bath, too. Figures that cloud cover rolled in about mid-wash.
The car needs new tires and probably a new alignment, but otherwise feels great. Except now that I’m used to the Speed6's power & torque the Miata feels dreadfully slow. Does anyone have a spare K24 motor they don’t need?

I have a j35. You know you want 6 cylinders.

I think you need a KF-ZE

I love those wheels.

Gosh that would be a lot of fun. I think the Honda motor would make for the faster car though.

As tempting as that is, I really think the K24A2 is the most ideal motor for me, short of a $19k Cosworth crate engine.

Thanks! They’re great. 15x8, only 11.6 lbs. I always end up missing a spot while cleaning them though.

K-swap does check a lot of boxes. I’m still going towards LSX as my dream build but I wouldn’t kick a Honda mill out the engine bay...

It would, the Mazda motor is only 180hp, which is a lot for the age and size, I just like that route because it stays in the family, and sounds amazing. But I know the J35 swap is a thing that people have already done, and doesn’t exactly sound bad either
