To raise awareness wear 2 different and colorful socks. I like this, it’s a very punk-rock way of paying tribute. Much better than pins or badges.

Over at my Bosnian neighbors there’s only 2 Down’s syndrome affected people in the whole country who are hired and working. 2.
So it’s a bigger issue here I guess.

normally the local media will promote stuff like that here. but there’s been nothing at all.
considering there’s plenty of people with down syndrome here in Oz

I like the twine shoelace / no lace combo.

I won’t lie: I only noticed the laces until I read the description.

Hey one thing to be aware of is it’s more correct to say Down Syndrome rather than Down’s Syndrome.
By convention, we use the possessive only with the name of a person who had the syndrome. Down documented it, but he wasn’t himself affected by it.
Or you can avoid the whole Down stigma and just call it Trisomy 21.

Oh man, I used that first but then googled it to make sure and it turns out Google was wrong.
