I don’t know if this ad is a giant troll or he’s serious.

Well, as someone who’s been trying to sell a car on Craigslist, I can sort of understand the frustration, but that attitude is no way to move the metal.
Personally, I’ve bought a number of cars from private party sellers over the years, and I’ve never once contacted someone to even ask about a car if I wasn’t already positive I’d be buying it if everything checked out in person. I really don’t understand the people that email to ask if the car is available, and then never contact you again when you respond in the affirmative. I mean, if you aren’t interested in the car, why are you asking about it in the first place?
Still, if the van hasn’t sold yet, that isn’t going to help much.

That was a fun read. But if he was really worried about people wasting his time, he would have more than two relevant pictures.

Well, that’s one way to find yourself between a rock and an ATM.

Good lord.
My dad had a Chevy Astro cargo van as his work van, in the “metallic turd” color and it had no windows anywhere except for the front windshield and driver/passenger windows. It was jarring when I drove it for the first time and I couldn’t see behind me - I had to rely on the side mirrors and prayers.
Also, I’m really glad my dad didn’t have a head-on collision. Holy fuck is that bad.

Better fuel efficiency than a Rolls Royce Phantom? I feel like I should call him and ask him for some more details on the trim package, along with sharing stories with him about cute things my kids do. And maybe a story about how I once had lunch in a van. Everyone loves a good story.

I think this is fantastic. If I were interested in this type of vehicle, the humorous (though occasionally curt) tone of this ad would certainly catch my eye.

That was worth the time to read. Honestly though, I learned pretty early on to ask first thing to see if a car is still for sale. The reason is that so many people sell and don’t take down their ad. And of course I would never show up to someone’s house without making an appointment.

If the ad is up, the car’s for sale. No time wasters or lowballers, iknowwhatihave
