My friend got a new job. I talked to him about it. Apparently it’s some sort of project manager. I kind of understand what a project manager does.

We could use a scrum master. Our scrums are lead by a project manager who clearly doesn’t know what scrums are. He’s gotten better, but these meetings are still much more like the weekly status meetings at my old job than a what a scrum should be.

Scrum Master = Project Manager = Adult Babysitter

Isn’t a Scrum Master just a project manager that couldn’t get PMP certified? :3

I thought this was a joke. How long can sports terms infiltrate the workplace?
Yeah, I’m a CTE Consultant.
What’s that?
Basically I beat my head against the wall 10 hours a day.

I’ve never had any PMP training of any sort. Took a PMP practice test and got a 62%
I don’t know what that means but I guess those who can’t make 80% after years of work don’t deserve the raise that comes with it.

In my head, the guy in yellow is the “scrum master,”

PMP is a fuckin racket made by PMI. The $139 dues each year for three-quarter million members means PMI gets handed $100M every year just so people can put those letters after their email signature. The prereqs say you only need a high school diploma and 3.5 years of PM experience to qualify for the test, which is bogus because I would not consider myself a professional shy of 5 years on the job.

The class is expensive AF too, I’d never do it unless employer required it.
