Went to pick up my rental at PHL today and they had a bunch of Tv’s out front. If you book with “status” you are automatically assigned a car before you arrive. You can walk directly to the space and just leave.
You need to show ID at the exit but I’ll take it, rental car lines at the airport are just awful.
I also got a Taurus with literally 10 miles on it. So that was cool

This isn’t new, is it? Hertz gold has been like this for some time, and in some airports you just walk to the prescribed section and grab any car you want. Although I do hate traveling on my own dime where I usually take the cheapest option and have to stand in line. I try to use Turo for personal trips, but haven’t had good luck lately — either the cars are way expensive or the owners flake.

Huh, maybe I’ve just been renting from trash avis locations haha.
I have not seen this before. And clearly I’m a fan.
