My company laid off 7 employees on Friday. I have not slept through the night since.

I did miss the axe, and my job is not in jeopardy. However my coworkers where I work may be 1-2 years out if things don’t change significantly. I like living where I do and having an office to go to for my work. I don’t know how long I’d last as a remote employee.

I just completed my taxes over the weekend and ended up owing more than the price of a really nice used car, which was also a big enough fraction of my tax liability that I could end up slapped with a fine. So frustrating.
Between that and my allergies going nuts, I barely slept, so I’m a zombie today.
