No more free Roadkill, Dirt Every Day, or Hot Rod Garage on YT.
SAD.

Dissapointing but MOTD really is worth it.

Is there a way I can pay for just the good shows and not the daily stuff that isn’t all.that great?

Look like I’ll be paying for Roadkill.

Not sure why they don’t partner with Amazon or Netflix... You’d think reaching a broader audience that’s already paying for ONE subscription would make sense. Having content on TV, streaming apps, YouTube AND YOUR OWN SHITTY WEBSITE is too much apparently. So let’s ditch everything but the website? And then charge for it? Huh?

They haven’t put up a new Ignition since December.
Not sure if I missed any announcements, but for now, I think I’m better off without Motor Trend.

isn’t it free with ads on their site? That’s what their link suggests.

Were there any new episodes of Racing Line?

More and more companies seem to be making plans to move content to their own site...which just means less viewers. I don’t get it, there’s only so much I’m willing to pay for content and for me things like Roadkill and Dirt Everyday are just fun time killers I watch here and there, not anything I’d ever pay for.

I don’t blame them. YT is not great, & they are pulling lots of questionable thing with advertising income. I gladly pay $3/month for good content with no ads.

Will it will still be free, just not on YouTube.
![]() 03/19/2018 at 09:13 |

It’s still free with ads without a subscription, just on a different site now.

Do they stream IMSA or FIA?

Oh awesome. I misread that and haven’t checked their youtube or site for announcements.

Going to Netflix/Amazon wouldn’t work because of the sheer amount of content they have and their coverage of live events (V8 Supercars, some IMSA races, some WEC races, Bathurst 12 Hour, etc).

Great, so I can’t want it on my actual TV anymore. I hate watching shit on my phone or at my computer. I want it on my big ass TV, which I could do withYou Tube.

I just checked their site, and you can still watch for free on there, just with ads. I have no probs with that.

They do support chromecast, so at least there’s that?

I watch on my TV using HDMI from a laptop or Chromecast. There are options!

I’m not buying more equipment. I’m sick of buying this box, and that stick, and this cable. It never ends! I’m out!!!

I’ve done the laptop thing, it’s more trouble than it’s worth IMO. I’m not buying yet another piece of equipment. I keep adding this and that, and I’m just done at this point.

If its not free, I won’t watch it. I don’t have money for that shit. Idgaf about watching it on a different platform though, fuck yt

I was wondering why comments and ratings were disabled on a few recent MotorTrend videos. They were prepping for the hate onslaught.

They cover live events???
See? If no one knows this, and all the YouTube fans just think its RK and whatnot being pulled and put behind a paywall FOR GOOD THIS TIME, how are they going to reach anyone but thier core fans?
Netflix/Amazon is watched by A LOT more people, people who are apt to not know about MTOD shows, and might have it show up as recommended, or might accidentally stumble on it someday and start watching.

Apparently, every video used to have a mix of “Yeah, new content,” to
“WHEN THE FUCK IS (NEW EPISODE) GONNA AIR ON YT?”
