I got wondering, what was the best 21st century compact convertible little car.

Neither of them were great sellers, The Wind came a little too late to the party while the StreetKa just didn’t have the look and feel.

I left out the Micra C+C, 1.4, 87bhp.

Because it’s just to awful.

I sort of want a Wind, preferably the 1.2 TCE, but my Twingo is both more economical and spacious, so it wouldn’t be a smart move

I remember all the complaints ofcom got abut these ads.

Strangely, they got less complaints back then than some dancing builders and some dancing office men in high heels.

and the dancing security guard.

The 206cc is larger and not quite in the same sphere.

That’s the thing. It’s not a smart move.

It’s an inexpensive roof off weekend runabout for when the sun shows it’s face.

not surprised, i can’t even recall when i last saw one

There was one I saw quite recently.

I used to see a few Tigras, the occasional StreetKa and odd Micra C+C (in pink of all things).

I believe the pink Micra C+C was an actual Nissan colour.

There are two pink cabrios near me, one is the Micra C+C and the other which I haven’t seen for a while is a StreetKa.

Shocking.

No, not at all.

It’s essentially a Twingo coupe/cabrio.

It’s not practical but a fun little weekend car.

It’s cheap and fun.

Take this one. It’s a 2010 Renault Wind, 1.6VVT GT Line, 133bhp. 63,860 miles, £2,695.

For some strange reason, I’ve loved the StreetKa since it was introduced. I’m hoping one or two exists when they’re finally old enough to import to the US.

Eight years old and looking great.

There are 44 of them on Autotrader U.K. alone.

Seems a bargain! Your prices in the UK are always so cheap! So many cool cars I could import here....pity RHD insurance is really hard to come by and expensive in Nova Scotia. :/

I imagine there aren’t many LHD cars to be found there!

I think because it looks great. The wheels are right at the corners.

There are 68 of them on Autotrader U.K. but they don’t look like they’ll be around for long on this earth as they are going from as little as £200 for an MOT failure coil spring and abs sensor to immaculate ones for £3,399.

The oldest is a 2003 so your more than half way to getting it stateside.

Most are silver or metallic blue with some black.

There is the Winter II which has a removable hard top.

Maybe because it’s heavily based on the Twingo.

With the road tax system of emissions, maintenance, testing, etc... it doesn’t make sense to keep them after a certain time depending on age, price, maintenance costs, etc...

There are a few hundred LHDs on Autotrader and there are companies in the U.K. that specialise in new and used LHD cars either from the continent or for people going to or working on the continent.

2007 Citroen C6, 2.7 HDi V6 originally from Lithuania. £4,495.

2004 Peugeot 807, 2.2 HDi 130bhp, 160,000 miles, £1,850.

Where I am is okay but we still had areas in central Cumbria that were getting supplies in via RAF Chinook.
