Never seen one of these in person.
Were they even sold nationwide, or am I looking at a west coast transplant?

All the gibs.
I saw one in December in Boca Raton.
It’s the second one I’ve ever seen in public.
Gib pls.

It was rolled out in California first, but was sold nationally. I don’t recall ever seeing one out and about, but, when I was working in New York several years ago, I picked up a new company car from a dealer that also had a Mitsubishi franchise, and there was one parked in a corner of the showroom.

I’m not sure if I would want one, but it intrigued me enough to see if there was one for sale in my area. If we had any reason to buy an extra vehicle it would be a decent bargain.
The one for sale within 50 miles of me was $4500 for a 2012 with 20,000 miles.

I was pretty sure it was sold nationally, but we get a lot of transplants in my area due to a large military base nearby so couldn’t be sure.

I recall seeing some at Columbus Mitsubishi a few years ago.

Getting thet many miles would be challenging in something that is basically a glorified golf cart with short range on a full charge...

From what I’ve heard, there was an unusually large concentration sold in McLean County, IL.

Needs more Herro Kitteh:
PS: Kinja spent all that time adding the fancy posting animation and all those image crop/resize options, but they didn’t bother fixing the double image when pasting bug??

I’ve seen one EV and a few ICE ones.

I only see a single image. Lately when I add images I only see a corner of the image till I publish. So I have to just hope I added the right image.

Yeah, every time paste an image, it will show twice, I have to delete one. One of them have layout controls and the other doesn’t. It’s an improvement from the past where you see one but it gets duplicated... I guess.

I’ve seen a couple of them here in Australia

They’ve gotten us so used to things getting less user friendly so now any little thing seems like a victory.

My school has at least one they bought to replace the GEM golf cart things they use as runabouts for facilities.

We have a few here in the Bay Area but for sure the Leaf thumped it when they came out.

I still see double, it could be the beer

It’d be a major improvement over a golf cart for probably not much more money.

One of the guys in our Montreal office has one that I’ve ridden in. They’re pretty nice inside, owner really likes it and paid next to nothing for it. He said he keeps a gas car for longer trips, but for commuting around town it’s a good little rig plus he gets cheap registration and it costs him like $2 to fully charge it from empty.

If there had been one of these available in my area last year I would’ve told my friend’s wife to consider it. I convinced her to look at a Leaf as it is, but with how cheap the used Mitsus are by comparison it would’ve been worth a look.
She has a 20 mile one way commute and access to a free to use 220v charger at her work. She occasionally charges her car at home on weekends, but Mon-Fri the commute is free.

I basically have the gasoline version and LOVE it.

I’ve paid so little attention lately to Mitsubishi that I had no idea it was available as an ICE.
My interest has been piqued for sure.

It’s just called the Mirage. They are all the same car. The space star is also in the model family.

Yep as a second car electrics make a ton of sense. I can’t believe they are so cheap used, even with the battery life concerns. Oh well, a market irrationality enthusiasts can exploit for a few years.

Ok, the Mirage I knew, but I didn’t realize they shared a platform. It makes sense though given how close they are in size.

I think the GEMs are technically real cars, they just look like golf carts.
