The Grand Touring starts at $29,200, and that money gets you into the Skyactiv-G 2.5T turbocharged engine 227HP(250 with premium) and 310 Lb/Ft
Leather-trimmed seats with electric adjustment at the front, heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, rear lip spoiler, different wheels and others are offered as standard on the Grand Touring Reserve. This has a starting price of $31,700.
The most expensive model is the Signature, which adds Nappa leather, wood accents, seven-inch TFT, 360-degree camera system, frameless rearview mirror and gunmetal-colored grille for $34750
This is how it compares to the competition:

Well what about you, you ask? I wouldn’t. This is not the type of car I would want but if you forced me, I would choose this over the competition despite the lack of AA/ACP

I have no need for one, but if I WAS in the market for a new, midsized non-luxury sedan... I would definitely probab pick the Mazda. I like the Accord too.
Seems like a good place to leave this... I kinda love everything besides the stance

I might. I don’t care about auto only, but the wagon would make it a lead pipe cinch. I think the 6 is gorgeous, and that turbo power would make it a whole lotta fun!
I’m not in the market for anything right now though.

The Mazda is prettier, but I’d still take the Accord

I would get the Accord with a manual while I still can.

I would get an Accord or Camry over this.

It it weren’t for that sweet 2.5T (which is great in the Cx-9) Accord all the way.

If I could fit in a mid size sedan I would check it out. It’s much more interesting than anything else on that chart.

Ditto, I’m in the boat where I want a 6 wagon, but don’t want to pay the premium for a CX-9

A Camry has over 300 HP now? Great googly moogly

Yup. 0-60 in 5.8 Secs and also, this- “the chassis is pretty much spot-on. This Camry turns with an enthusiasm that nearly matches the benchmark Honda Accord and Mazda 6, with no appreciable impact on overall comfort.”

he new Camry is legit good.

The 2.0 in the Accord is better, in fact, from most sources it’s a better all around car. Plus, manual.

If you get it in the right trim and color, it can be made to be less hideous

and all the old people will buy it because it has a V6, and it’ll never get used until they die, at which point it’ll get passed to some 18 year old to be “hooned” or whatever they’ll do in 20 years from now

I saw one with more real quad exhaust than my ISF. The XSE I think. Looked very very good in white with the black roof.

Only with manual and wagon. I don’t care about AWD. Just a stick and a big cargo area.

Mazda needs to do something to differnetiate themselves, esepcially since they don’t have Ford’s backing anymore. Remember when they offered the 6 as a wagon and hatchback too? The reason the wagon failed is because it was only available with the V6. But at least that V6-only wagon was available with the manual.
They’re also late to the turbo party. Even the Malibu and Fusion offer turbo-4 options. And of course, the Accord.
The Accord 2.0T has a manual option and costs less than the Mazda.
But the Camry will be the clear winner where it counts. Remember, in this segment, what really matters is not how they are now, but rather how they are with 200-300k on them and 20 years of wear and tear. And that is where the Camry will pull far far away from the competition.

I would buy one. All that torque.

That signature trim along with the turbo engine makes for a luxury sedan at not luxury prices. I would buy this over a 3 series any day of the week.

If I had to pick something on that list, I’d get the Mazda, based on looks alone.
