It’s time to DIY a hydraulic press.
Sorry about the cluttered bench!
The pump and Ram have been knocking around the workshop for years, and are useful for moving heavy stuff precisely. Frame is some random offcuts, 100mm box for the uprights, 100x50mm box for the base and a thick L section for the top. Ram is held in by it’s own pressure on a retaining stud.
Not the neatest welds (think the roads were a bit damp which didn’t help), but strong enough to get the desired results.
It’s probably a better way to install the new ones too.
