Also North Korea: “Let’s make a Kia Sorento with a Hyundai Santa Fe front end.”
The ever creatively named Pyeongwha 2405. Delicious irony in car form.
Still though, not as ironic as Kim Jong-il being carried to his grave in a car named after America’s second most famous president.

They also do a ML nosed Sorento, which actually looks like a better design

Apparently they also make these mini-mini vans with not-BMW grilles!

Is that white line a license plate on the blue SUV?
Do they
really
need license plates over there? I mean, how many cars are there, 5?

Those VWs are definitely from China. I was surprised how many VWs are in China, made there. I was even more surprised by how many Buicks are there, more than the US!

I like how the bumper also looks like a E46.

North Korea doesn’t have the capability of developing or producing a car fully on their own, Pyeonghwa Motors just screws together CKDs imported from China and slaps their badge on them.
That Kia copy is actually a Shuguang Huanghai, from Liaoning Shuguang Automotive, which is actually a real 1st generation Sorento that Shuguang builds under license from Kia.
