I found a really good shop for the Sunchaser and Cressida work. The owner started out as a Toyota specialist over 35 years ago, and old Celicas like mine were his “bread and butter” for a long time.

I really think this guy will be a good fit for my old Japanese cars. The guy who answered the phone lamented that he sold a 73 Celica that he had, and says he still misses the car.

If nothing else, maybe that will help make up for the day you’re having.

It’s a relief to have a sympathetic indy mechanic - especially for someone like me who doesn’t have the infrastructure to do much work. In the past I’ve had the fintail turned away, but for the past 10+ years I’ve known a local mechanic who isn’t afraid of the car.

That’s awesome! Hope the shop isn’t too far away.

Holy shit balls that’s a fancy shop. But all I think of when I see that is how massive the overhead must be.
