I mean, to be fair, I’m looking at possibly getting a Maine Coon in the distant future, hopefully a younger one.

Then again, there may be that one shelter cat that just takes a shine to me and loves me forever.

You never know. Hammer was found by a friend of a friend stuck in an abandoned car in a farm field. He was a tiny 1-pound kitten, and sweet as can be. He loves our girls, he snuggled up on our little one today, and she fell asleep.

Hammer only has one toy that he’ll actually play with. It’s a stuffed squeaky wiener dog, that’s sold as a dog toy.

My first experience with cats was not entirely pleasant. My grandmother had a cat who hated everyone except her. I don’t understand why he was so bad natured.

After he died, my grandmother got another cat, who was excessively friendly with me and loved curling up on my lap and licking me profusely. As she got older, however, I guess she got... cynical?

Cats are great, but you definitely want to find one with the right personality. Some of them are real assholes.

We had a cat that would jump on the window screen to let us know it was time to let her in. I hated that cat.

My experience with Maine Coons has been fantastic. Super loving, great around kids, adults, other pets... Get one and don’t look back

That would be wildly annoying.

Hammer doesn’t care about getting in our room. He would try to run in when we opened up the door back when he was a kitten. I think he just wanted me to chase him.
