Just imagine how far ahead of the curve GM could have been had they not killed the EV1. They were absolutely killing all of the other “made them because we had to” variants of the day both in product delivered and the infastructure to keep them moving. If GM had just a little more foresight imagine where we could be.

Instead, they give us another 20 years of uninspired cars you wouldn’t want to receive as a rental, with rehashed names like Impala and Malibu... But GFY if you want an El-Camino.

In summation, GM should bring the Holden tooling to North America, electrify it, and sell it to us as the El-Camino. “The El stands for electric”
