The menu defaulted to “Ground” and not the free option. Hm.

I tried to buy like four quarts of trans fluid once. They attempted to charge me a “hazardous transport” fee of like $300, on top of normal shipping.

Ugh, ok that was not the screencap I thought it was and apparently I can’t change it. Don’t mind me... just need more coffee.

Reminds me of a group buy I was part of for some electronics parts where the default shipping option was next day shipping for $15. Sure I’m going to chose to pay $15 for next day shipping on something that isn’t going to be shipping until April anyway.

Looks like Amazon. This was probably a direct-fulfillment 3rd party seller that has AWFUL operational metrics.
... I no longer do the cool IoT stuff I used to do, but I now sometimes pitch in on teaching manufacturer clients how to get and keep decent stats on this front.

I bought some clothes of a chinese owned website, they offered something like 5 different shipping options, all were within a dollar or two of 20$. I mean like priority , standard shipping, ect. Why not get priority then?

Didn’t end up ordering it, but it’s a front lip. Luckily free shipping is an option.
