San Francisco is farther away from Vancouver, not closer. Why. What gives.

Oh yeah, this was “1-2 day shipping”.

I feel your pain. Ordered something from Amazon on February 14th. Took the shipper 6 days to get it to FedEx. Still waiting for it to be delivered.

Ugh, that’s impressive. I’m waiting to see if the bracket I have coming from Japan beats this delivery from only 250km away

You can’t beat them.

I ordered some car cleaning items, one for me, two for a colleague, got bombarded with e-mail and texts saying my order had been received, item had been paid for, item dispatched, item picked up by carrier, where it was and when, then when it would arrive. On the morning of delivery, I received the typical, item is in transit, clip here for updates on time window, then nothing. Then got an e-mail from the seller to say the item had been damaged, one of the bottles had burst. So I phoned the seller and asked why I was getting an e-mail a day after it was supposed to of arrived. She said she didn’t know but she will send out replacements. I told her I need them next day as I need to give two items to a colleague before I went on holiday. She said that due to their location they can’t guarantee I’d get it the next day. But I could either go round to the courier and see what bottles had been damaged or she could arrange for them to deliver the damaged units and work from there. I told her each our I’m wasting waiting to see the damaged units, is time I could be looking for items to be delivered the next day. I got a refund and looked elsewhere and thankfully got the two items my colleague needed. The one I want can wait till I want more stuff to go with it.

Related:

It sounds like USPS Seattle Hub received the package as the plane had already left for the Seattle hub. I bet the system automatically assumed that the package had made it onto the plane for March 2-3, but it didn’t. Packages do not have a 3 min turn around time. So it made the plane to San Fran for March 3-4.

So it actually made it on the plane to San Fran March 4-5, and was processed there by customs (?) last night.

I’m sure it will be on the plane to Vancouver tonight.

When I moved, I sent 8 boxes USPS Priority Mail 2-day. 4 arrived on time. 1 arrived one business day late. 3 appear to have sat at IAH for a week before finally being shipped up and delivered (the tracking didn’t give any updates during that time, just saying that they were delayed). 1 package, which was delivered on time, never got any tracking info.

That would be impressive! Tracking shows mine should be delivered today. But they’ve already missed like 3 expected delivery days so who knows.
