I am genuinely impressed with those modular exhaust studs that all came out.

Haha, yeah I know what you mean. It gets better, though. Most of them are fails , but there are some wins too. I love seeing successfully extracted fasteners, and creative workarounds for specialty tools.

Every once in a while, I’ll see a pic that totally stumps me, and I’ll go into the comments only to find that someone has already asked “what am I looking at here?” and received an answer. Always something new to learn.

I posted a story there once about my father having his tire pressure monitor telling him his right rear was low. He’s a farmer so he’s got a compressor so he puts a few lbs in. Computer says it’s still low. He puts more air in. Says it’s still low. He puts a few more lbs in. Says it’s still low. He wishes he had a tire pressure gauge as the tire is rock hard and he knows the computer is wrong.

A few days later he remembers he’d rotated the tires six months ago. Sure enough the driver’s front is half flat.

In under five minutes someone asked how my dad liked his new Chevy.

I never mentioned the brand of truck.
