Pickedup a Pixel 2 XL today to replace my aging Galaxy s6 with serious screen burn in. So far I like it and here are some thoughts
The screen is huge. And absolutely gorgeous
Stereo speakers on phones rock
And even though I’ve only had it for a few hours I don’t understand why more people don’t switch to stock Android. It’s so fast and responsive.
Oh and the camera is great. Doggo pic for reference

I have a Pixel first gen, I think I will pick up the 3rd gen when it is inevitably announced. Great devices. I’ve had every Nexus/Pixel device with the exception of the Pixel 2 and the Chromebooks.

Same, thinking I may go with the pixel 3 and Project Fi when it comes out.

I love my Pixel (1) XL, I’ve had it for about 5 days and I think i can already say it’s the best phone I’ve had. Like your Pixel 2, it’s so fast and responsive. It makes my Note 4 look like a joke of a phone.
I’m also trying Project Fi and so far I’m very happy with it too.

Same here, Pixel XL plus Project Fi for about 5 days now and it’s been fantastic!

It slows down after you drop it a couple hundred times.

I have the regular Pixel 1 and I’ve been debating whether to go with the 2 when it’s time. I don’t want to lose a headphone jack but I’m a long time proponent of pure Android.

For what it’s worth it does come with a usb-c to headphone jack but then that means you can’t charge and use headphones at the same time.

Stock android is great. So snappy and all the essential apps. If anything, everyone should at least try the Google Now launcher. It’s a bit older but gets the job done. Have it on my S7 Edge and it’s changed the phone for me.
Had been eyeing down a Pixel 2XL at launch but the way the phone sat in my hands... I didn’t agree with it. The bezels are alright but the overall size made it feel chunky, ontop of the display that felt “sunk in.” All items I could easily live with because dat camera! Currently waiting for XZ2 to drop.

Phones losing headphone jacks bugs me in theory but in reality I only ever use bluetooth headphones and other audio devices with my phone. My tablet, on the other hand, I definitely use with wired headphones to watch videos in bed.
The new Huawei MediaPad M5 looked very promising to me until I realized it has no headphone jack. The rationale of ditching the jack on a phone to save space was already suspect, but on a tablet? Screw that.

When I saw this article, I just knew someone was going to comment about the “lack” of a legacy headphone jack. There’s always a few poor, uninformed, individuals that STILL believe this.
Just to reiterate what Sampsonite24 said, you get a USB-C to 2.5mm headphone jack adapter in the box.
Battery life is so great (my observation) that I doubt hardly anyone will ever need to charge and use headphones at the same time.
