Does anyone have recommendations for a minimalist free theme for a portfolio? I want all the images to be on the homepage in a collage, and I want you to be able to click the image and have it pop out as a mini gallery, without taking you to a new screen.
+ I want to be able to upload a logo somewhere at the top of the homepage.
Ideas?
I repainted a diecast van with our logo.

I think people have moved on to Drupal.

Yeah but it’s expensive. At least for my Croatian wallet. My hosting and domain are about 10 bucks for the whole year like this.

Is it free? How does it work, do they host it or is it just a tool to create it? I know next to nothing about coding and stuff, plus I already paid for a year of hosting and a domain name.

I have a couple of sites I manage through Wordpress. Since this is all new to you, start at https://wordpress.org/themes/ . Click on the theme you like, then select Preview to see what it might look like when you are done.
The great thing about Wordpress is that you can pick a theme, start uploading your site elements (pics, blog entries, etc.), then switch themes if you don’t like the way it’s turning out. Many elements will automatically switch to match the new theme. You can also update the site with your phone or by e-mail if you enable that function.
Happy Wordpressing!

Awesome, I wasn’t sure if I could switch between them without losing anything. Thanks, now it’s just up to finding the perfect one.

You do have to be careful with some of the specialized elements as not all templates support every element type. This might help: http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/checklist-15-things-you-must-do-before-changing-wordpress-themes/

I think they charge something like $20/yr.
If you’ll email me, I’ll send you the links to two sites I maintain on Wix.
