It’s realizing that you’ve made the right decision on your car. I’ve driven some fantastic car, yet none has given me the same feeling my M3 has. There really is something about just liking your car.

That was me in college. I was drooling over E39 M5s at the time. I never though I would be able to afford an E90 M3 within two years of graduation.

Have you driven the new Camaro? Sure it’s tacky but it’s a marvelous sportscar!

I have not. I had a rental mustang and I hated it because of the seating position and how hard it was to see out of. After my parents experience with GM products, I’m not sure I would ever own one. That said, I should do some due diligence and drive one.

I’m rarely a BMW fan, but this car does something to me. This car tempts me to trade in my F-Type.

Just like E90 I never thought I would be able to afford an ISF. Graduated in May and was able to buy it. It’s amazing.

I bought my M3 from a dealer called Park Place.

Using the glass you got me right now. When are you coming out to Tennessee? You need to drive my ISF and see the doggos you bought toys for!

Get yourself the v6 RS or the supercharged LS version. Perhaps after being accustomed to a high revving v8 you might find a pushrod with peak power at 6500RPM a bit tame and boring, but that compressor driven torque is certainly going to fascinate you.

I think that if American cars practiced a bit less tackyness i’d be wanting to own a Camaro (I certainly know I like the SS a lot) but man, something about some cars is so Gaudy... keep in mind I say this owning a Kia with fake hood vents and “dark chrome” detailing.

I don’t mind engines that deliver power in different ways. I do like N/A engines for both simplicity and lack of turbo lag. My dad has a turbo car and even with a small turbo I can feel the lag.

I don’t really see the tackiness, maybe it’s because it’s a different market here and I see a lot of them. I do see all the plastic in the interior.

It is a different market certainly. I can assure you that the Mexican populous of “The Valley” (because northerners are another species at this point) very much enjoy their cars with a VW logo and painted in what I could only describe as “german stoicist” grey.

But hey, LS engines are fun, my mom’s suburban has an LS and it has never dissapointed me. Neither are push rods to be messed with; it might be an archaic system but it certainly works!

There definitely is a certain satisfaction from having a car that suits you well. I love my E92 in terms of it’s size and handing/comfort on the craptastic roads near me in NY. Now that my warranty is just about gone I can finally get to putting some more power into it. I still remember the first time I saw my car and took it for a test drive. I was absolutely hooked before I made it a block from the dealership. If a car can make you smile everytime you see it and sad when you are without it for more than a day then you made the right decision.

I might have held off on my TSX if I had known I could afford an IS350 F-Sport.

Both of my cars make me smile. I know I have 2 E9Xs, but they do different things and I really enjoy that.

If I didn’t want something special like an ISF, I would have leased the RC350 F-Sport they were offering me a killer deal on.

Why in the world would you trade in your F-type for a BMW?

*Looks at link*

Why in the world do you still have your F-Type?

What I really, really want is a Mark X GRMN. It’s basically an IS350 F-Sport with a stick. If I had $100,000 or so lying around I’d buy one and get it legalized for Show Or Display.

It is, notably, the first X chassis to be offered with a stick since the infamous Verossa, and from what I can tell the first 2GR car other than the Evora to have a stick. Worth. It.

The good news for me is that the others I would want potentially are a) cars that I can’t afford anyway, or b) older and much cheaper cars that are not comparable to the DD.

There is something so perfect about it. I don’t know why or how, but seeing a car built out from start to finish with no shortcuts makes me want it.

I feel the same way about my Mustang. No matter how many fantastic cars 3-and 4-times more expensive I sit in, I always get back into it with a big smile on my face. It’s only a 2013 V6 manual, but it’s my baby and fits me perfectly.
