Took 3 months... a lot of stress... a lot of thought... and a lot of patience but today we were finally able to host a group of people and it was fun!

We’re excited to have all our other friends that were not able to make it over, including the ones we bought the house from. Anyone coming through Tennessee let me know! Also, managed to secure a bottle of Wellers... bad 2 if my friends freak out when they saw it. All $23 lol.

I’m not a good rye fan and they tend to be more expensive. It’s all the mother in law likesthoigh so I have a glass of her Angel Envy in between the really nice bottles of whiskey she buys just for me when we come over.

Not bad at all. That Weller was $23 and I’m scared to know how much it is worth on the black market. The guys at the liquor store brought it from the back room and hid it in my basket so no one stole it out of my buggy.

my wife is after me to get a new countertop. Its not really something that I wanted / planned on doing, but since i lit part of it on fire, shes a little more detriment to get it replaced. i wanted to try forming my own concrete mold and doing that (google it you can do some amazing things) but that is a lot of work. We’re going between granite and corian. the corian is cheaper ($1200 vs $1700) and she likes the sinks that go with it, but we both like granite better.

It’s made from the same mash at the same distillery used to make Pappy Van Winkles. Buffalo Trace also doesn’t sell a lot of them. At every single local liquor store, it’s held in the back and you have to ask for it with them all being accounted for before they get there. IE I bought mine for retail of $23. This is the same one online.

It was made for a dining area to be there. We put the table under center of it when we’re eating with friends at the table but for the most part try to keep it out of the way.

That’s what I figured. If you could extend the chain on the chandelier you could place a hook above where you have the table now and use that to center the light above the table. Not that it matters much.

We went with quartzite which is really expensive but we love the look. I don’t think you would be disappointed with granite.

I got it retail price. I think liquor stores are supposed to sell it for retail set by Buffalo Trace. Its the online and personal market that it gets inflated on because more people want the bourbon than liquor stores receive to sell.
