Do I go to the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! down the way from my office for some falafel, or do I make a tofurky sandwich with my groceries I keep in the break room fridge? Both meals would involve hummus. Decisions, decisions.
UPDATE: Practicality (in the form of a sammich) wins out.

Fresh hummus from the Mediterranean joint >> grocery store hummus

True, but I’d have to spend money on the falafel, and I already paid for the groceries.

Save your money!

And I’m sure those groceries were cheaper, too - - depends on the priority (and whether the stuff you have will last much longer)

Go out, you’ll spend more time in that office than you want to.

Your name holds up.
Vegan or vegetarian?

Olive tapenade + hummus = win

Well the Mediterranean platter looks much more appetizing to me. My GI tract cannot into faux soy based meat.

Option 3: Give up on being vegetarian and get a gyro :)

I would say most of the time, but depends on the recipe. I like lots of tahini for a smoother texture and Sabra does a great job with it.
More authentic/fresh hummus seems like it’s always a little too dry for me.

The places around me seem to have a creamier texture than Sabra does - seems like more oil and tahini to me- -kind of the reverse of what it’s like around you, it seems. I’m sure it varies depending on where you are and who’s making it.
Don’t get me wrong - I love Sabra, too (Supremely Spicy FTW!!) and we usually have a couple of containers of that around the house.

Yeah, it’s weird here — I can go find Greek, Lebanese, Israeli, it all seems like chickpeas from a blender.
I’ll take Sabra over almost anything.
Hope’s (organic) is pretty good too. They have some interesting flavors.

All this talk sent me to Sabra’s website and now I desperately need to try the jalapeno hummus.

You haven’t?!?!?
Tbh, not that great. Supremely spicy is a lot better, IMO.

No - my wife likes doing the grocery shopping, and usually loads up on the roasted red pepper, and gets a container of supremely spicy that’s basically for me.
I’ll have to check out the jalapeno at least— but yeah that SS is good stuff.

My wife is the same, and every few weeks it’s like “Guess what? Sabra was BOGO!” and then it’s party time. Early middle aged dad party time, anyway.
Speaking of that, I think it’s almost time to crack open a beer and go slacklining in the backyard until I irreparably damage something.

Ha - same here except for the slacklining!

For future meals, gyro meat + tzatziki sauce + hummus = yes.

You’d think my choice of falafel vs. tofurky, combined with my username, would be a dead giveaway that lamb and yogurt are not things I eat, but apparently not.

Oh, I saw all of that. Noticed it, yes.
BUT YOU SHALL EAT WHAT I TELL YOU TO EAT. Deliciousness crosses dietary boundaries.
Plus, my sister once made a tofurkey for Thanksgiving, screwed up the recipe, and it tasted literally like dirt. I’m scarred for life on it.
