I wonder if they will bring the weather to regular old AC. I’m not a fan of racing GT cars and it looks like that is all that ACC will have :|

Damn, looks good.
AC is an impressive game, you can tell they really have passion for what they do. They also have a very nice physics engine.

That’s awesome! I have been lamenting that officially licensed racing sims are far too few. AC and Project CARS give you lots of toys to play with, but no compelling reason to play with them. Being able to fight in a real world championship against real world drivers is what simracing is about. At least for single-player.

They won’t. The old engine severely limited them in ways other than just the lighting, which UE4 addresses and then some. Having TOD and weather baked in from the start will make it easier for Kunos, although they will still be responsible for coding the actual change in surface and aerodynamic grip. I’m more excited that we can have more than one light source since now we can have working trackside lighting and position boards on the cars. Also baked in VR support.
ACC is more like GT Sport; a prologue to AC2 and a chance for them to work out UE4.
