My grandpa passed away this morning. He has been on in-home hospice for 2 months but he looked good when I saw him 10 days ago. Bummed.
I’m feeling pretty gloomy about this in the broader sense too as my other grandpa died 4 months ago and my grandma and grandparents(in-law) are all 92-94. I just don’t want to go through this loss process every 6 months for 2 years but it’s not like I can change life.
I’m lucky to have had many of my grandparents for as long as I did but losing them still sucks.
My grandpa will definitely be missed. He was charming, he was a runner like me up until his running shoes got stolen in 11th grade and he had to quit(couldn’t afford another pair) and he liked hearing about my racing, he was pretty tech savvy. He was great with kids and even had my 3 year old giggling the last time we saw him.
