Here is my favorite example of this.
The AC knobs I threw on my Tacoma are meant for a Yaris or some other shitbox. But they fit perfectly and make it look so much better than the stock ones.
This is before. They’re functional, but don’t look like they belong on a 2014 truck.
And here’s the Yaris ones. Only $7.00 straight from China. They really spruce the interior up.
Here they are at night. It’s almost like they were meant to fit a Tacoma.
Anybody else got any OEM+ mods on their vehicle?

I put the under dash tray from a 06+ Mini into my 04 Mini giving me a grand total of 2 door pockets and an under dash tray for storage in my car.

I have to admit, that really does make a difference.

It really does make a surprisingly large difference for such a small thing.

I wish to steal your idea for my work truck. Do you have linky?

Maybe the daylight pic just isn’t doing the new knobs justice, but the position indicators are hard to make out. Much easier to see at night.
Aside from that though, it’s a BIG improvement on the aesthetics. Nice find!

I love that my Abarth has buttons for climate control and not the stupid plastic knobs. Your replacements look way better than the original!

My Prelude has some random Accord parts (including the wheels, which are from a low-production JDM Accord), and I bought a red hazard switch for my TSX..

It’s a bad angle and lighting, but they’re pretty easy to see during the day as well. It’ll occasionally be a challenge, but they’re otherwise pretty easy to read.

You can get them cheaper on eBay but the shipping takes like five years.

That’s so much better looking that I can’t believe they didn’t do it originally.
Then again, the base ones probably work better with gloves... Maybe they were chosen for pure utility value.

I kinda want to snag the digital limited HVAC controls for my SR5 but haven’t looked into it too much. It has the ambient temperature sensor wiring, just no sensor. Just like the fog lights. All the wiring is there.

Mercedes A-class AC-vents in my former RX-8. Needed minimal triming, and looked heeps better than stock

I stuck a shift knob out of a WRX into my Forester. Manual Foresters get a pretty crappy black plastic knob. The WRX one isn’t all that fancy but it’s a huge improvement and looks like it belongs.
I’ve also added a leather steering wheel and lager wheels from a higher trim. I’d like to add the auto HVAC controls, but I haven’t looked into if that’s just plug and play or needs to wire into sensors somewhere. Then WRX front seats assuming that the airbags will still work.

My GTO’s OEM+ mods are a C7 flywheel, brake calipers from a CTS-V (6 piston front and 4 piston rear), front rotors from a G8 GXP/SS camaro, and rear rotors from a C6 Z06/Grandsport.

On my ‘87 Peugeot 205 CTi convertible, a subcompact:
Brake discs and calipers from an ‘05 Peugeot 307 (a compact)
Engine from a ‘96 Lancia Zeta minivan
Power steering pump from a ‘99 Citroën Saxo
Auto dimming rearview mirror from an ‘03 Citroën C5
Rain sensor from a ‘98 Peugeot 406
Cruise control lever from a Citroën Evasion minivan.
And probably a few other items I’m overlooking right now.

That’s basically it.
I actually wonder if it works the other direction, as in putting the Tacoma ones in a Yaris. They’re clearly designed to be operated blindly, whereas the Yaris ones don’t look like they are.
