Here in a few hours my partner and I are going to a fondue restaurant for our 10th anniversary. It’s been a tradition of ours for a long time to go there on our anniversary. Then we’re going to come home and... put an office chair together. That’s not a euphemism for something else, that’s really our plans. *insert Marvin Gaye music here*

Takes me back to the old days living in Cyprus.
However at present, no food, I’m off to bed for a couple of hours before work then when I get home tomorrow morning I’ll be making home made chicken tikka with steamed rice.

Looks good. Is that squid ink in the rice? Does it actually taste of anything or just it just make things black?
I just had a protein shake. Probably gonna go for a big dinner tonight.

Cheese to start, then meats and veggies in a simple bouillon, and then dessert fondue.
Putting the chair together will be a bit more fun when we toss in some wine for him and scotch for me. It might affect the finished product though.

Happy Anniversary! And yeah, that’s what 10 years will do - but at least the fondue is romantic. And if you’re drinking while putting the chair together, it’ll at least be fun.

Yeah, skid ink. It has a very mild seafood taste to it, but the texture is definitely transformed.

It was in the old days where you walked out into the sea off the coast of Paphos, grab a baby squid and smash it’s head on the rocks and then take it to be cooked.
