I’ve heard them numerous times at Cars and Coffee. I have always liked the Nissan 350z’s stellar looks and customizability. When the owner of a 2004 automatic 350z said he would let me review his I was instantly on board. Sure, automatic, but it would still give me my first impression of the platform.
I gauge my passion for a car with the time spent on Craigslist after the review. And I spend a decent amount of time there checking for 350z’s only to be greeted with low mileage convertibles... which... are hideous with the top up. Lets ignore the fact it has no place in my garage because #family and #adulting. Can’t quite toss those kids in the hatch now can I?
What is your opinion on the 350z’s? Needs less straight pipe VQ?

Too loud. They don’t sound that bad, but it’s too loud. The Z is too stiff, much prefer the G35.

Really? I find stock G35s to be way too soft. Body roll for days.

Well driving on the moon would be smoother than the streets in my city. With nice roads the Z would definitely be better. I don’t know about body roll for days though, but your namesake definitely!

Looked at them when they were new. Couldn’t get past the interior.

The thing that I would be looking at is the instrument cluster, and I thought it was pretty on point. The rest... well... about as bad as my mustang I suppose.

It was loud indeed! I still thought it sounded rather nice. I was surprised it didn’t blow out the microphone on my action cam.

I’m probably just getting old

I really liked how that moved up and down with the wheel. At the time I had a Nissan Frontier, and the 350Z had the same interior. Not good enough for what I was looking to do.

Hamilton’s streets are really awful, but I’m willing to make the exchange in ride quality for handling. The difference between my cousin’s stock G35 and my G35 is night-and-day.

I can respect that. I’ve got a two wheeled thing for handling fun so it’s not my main concern with cars.
