for some reason FedEx wanted to take my phone from California to Connecticut and the New Hampshire before coming to Massachusetts
And after I transfer my number to Fi i get to call Verizon and tell them to pound sand, blow goats, and generally fuck off.

When you set up Fi with an existing number they tell Verizon to pound sand for you! You don’t even have to worry about cancelling your existing Verizon line.

really? cuz I was kinda looking forward to it

Yup, I didn’t have to do a thing to cancel my Verizon line when I switched to Fi.

T-Mobile did that for me with Sprint. Saved me the trouble of spending a half an hour of telling them they sucked, and no, there was nothing they could do keep me on.

I’ve thought about switching to Fi but I don’t want to pay for a Pixel XL 2, the regular Pixel 2 is too small for me, and the X4 is too midgrade for me. Generally I’m happy with my T-Mobile 10 GB for $50 prepaid plan although they still don’t have coverage in some of the more rural parts along the way from my house in Madison to my mother-in-law in Burlington. My wife’s phone is on Total Wireless (Verizon MVNO) and has fine coverage in those parts of the state. Verizon coverage around my office is garbage and in my office is nonexistent.

I remember when I hated T-mobile, too...

you mean I get to tell them they suck for half an hour?? i don’t see the downside there. The thing that really got to me was that they had a two for one deal on pixel 2 xl, but only for new lines. We have been with Verizon since 2009. They offered me $30 off 1 phone.

i think you put a curse on it. looks like we can;t be new phone buddies.

That’s some horseshit. I think T-Mobile did a big promo for the Pixel 2, but it was for a new line. Technically with them, you can add a line, get the promo, and then close the other line, but then you have to change your number. I guess phone companies figure once you’re in they don’t need to do anything to earn your business.
