If you were to give it a Dougscore, what would it get?

Will we be seeing this at the next Seattle meet?

And when is that?

Thank you! I always get the snarkiest responses when I say I like the VQ in my wife’s G37. I even like they way it sounds. The two air filters thing is kind of a pain, and don’t get me started on the steps necessary to replace the battery, but it’s all worth it.

Nice ride. I always liked these a lot. As bad as a rep they have, I really don’t see tons of “bro’d” out ones around me. Just looks like a nice, decently fun daily driver.

Not looking forward to spark plugs, because apparently I have to remove the throttle bodies and PCV lines in order to get to them. The air filters were a breeze, took me less than a minute to change them. It sucked butt on my Accord though.

We need to do late-aughts black Japanese cars that aren’t sold in Japan face-off.

Ooh an IS. Black Japanese cars are best Japanese cars.

No clue, although they’ve been semi-regular lately. There’s a Cars & Coffee event the first Saturday of March that might be a good meet up place. 425 Motorsports in Bellevue

That’s the sound of me asking for that day off. Let’s meet up!

This is a true statement.
How’s things?

Things are.

Awesome! I’ll be there, I’m sure at least a few other will be. 10:30-12:30 which is nice
For maximum nostalgia value bring your car early and leave so I just see the car and not the owner.

but is it a muscle car

didnt know you got one of these, nice! I like them a lot. came down to this or a IS 250 when my parents where shopping a few years ago. G37 was just too costly to run (your 15mpg on a RWD should say it all)
hence why I now have a is250 AWD :D
great buy! you will love it to death.

As a car it was sold though, it’s a V35 Skyline.

Thanks dude! I already love it.

You are correct, I never knew the my IS350 was sold as an IS350 in Japan. I thought it was still the Altezza
![]() 02/09/2018 at 22:32 |

Yeah, the second gen was used to introduce Lexus. Only the first gen was the Altezza. And I’m not sure if there was actually an IS350, because of engine size taxation in Japan. Might have topped out at 300 with the 3GR.
One Japanese car not sold in Japan off my head is the 2nd gen and onwards Acura TL. Arguably the global Civic is another one, since they have the CSX as the Civic instead.

I wish I could take videos because I have a goodone of the engine on the LS400 today. It seems fun.
