Has all of ONE smart, and it’s hidden behind the MB display. Really?

How is the show overall? Some interesting models on display? Might make the trek to go see the show but probably not until next weekend, given the snow forecast this weekend.

Mercedes doesn’t give a shit about the Smart or it’s owners... They just wanted to out-mini BMW’s Mini.

I’m so pissed. Before I moved, I went every year on my birthday (Valentine’s Day) because my parents know how much I loved going. Now we’re in Florida and everything sucks.

I’m pretty surprised they even have one? Seems like Smart is on the way out in the US.

The snow wasn’t that bad :3
But things are pretty cool here (at least today on social media day). It’s worth it!

I thought of you yesterday when I stumbled upon the tiny Smart hidden behind the entire MB display and hidden by an enormous Maybach. I felt like it was Where’s Waldo just for you.

2 of our techs at my new job have 2017 Smarts. They look so rad

Hey, I’m commenting on an old post of yours so no one sees this. I posted earlier about a weird thing that happened with my CR-V and now everyone’s just insulting me and talking all this shit and all I did was ask if this weird thing happened to everyone else. This hurts, I thought Oppo people were a lot nicer.

Hey there. It looks like you deleted that post but I did see it earlier when there were maybe a dozen responses. I didn’t see anything that looked like a direct insult, I just think a lot of people were very skeptical.
Stock vehicles don’t just randomly have way better 0-60 times like that. If the car has a digital speedo like some Hondas, perhaps it was changed to kilometres/hour. I do that to my girlfriend’s car sometimes. Maybe you had a rolling start, or were driving downhill. I don’t know. But it is highly unlikely that your dad’s unmodified Honda has a real 0-60 time of less than 6 seconds. Sorry.
Oppo also has a history of people “embellishing” stories, so we naturally doubt things that seem false. Next time take a video so you have proof.
Again, I hope people weren’t insulting you, but rather just doubting an unlikely story that probably needs further clarification.

It’s not an old enough post. :p
People like to read back on my posts, so someone will likely find this. :)
Oppo has its moments where even the best people here will say something not cool.
Usually when a post of mine goes down that path with the responses I just delete the post. If you think someone is breaking Oppo’s “don’t be a dick” rule, tell a mod! :)
It does hurt. My worst time being 2015 when I had an army of burners chasing me all over the Internet harassing me and trying to find out my real life identity.
Admittedly, I did lash out at people who did not deserve it. I (rightfully so) lost my authorship at the Kinja community in which it happened and I have not returned since.
As for your issue, I think something may be causing the latch to jam. I’d try spraying some P’Blaster into the latch and see if it becomes easier to operate!

Ok. You put it better than others did. Thanks.

An old friend of mine had a Pontiac with analog gauges, but you could push a button and switch it from mph to kph. We were cruising along and he said “wow, this car is really smooth at 100mph.” We were only going about 60, but he switched the gauge without me noticing. Maybe your dad did something like that to you. Or maybe your car wasn’t at a complete stop. Or maybe your dad modified the CR-V into a fast car without you knowing. Or maybe your timer was just a little off. We’ll never know.
As a scientist, if you ever run a test and get a weird result, the best thing to do is to repeat the test and see if you get a similar result. If your CR-V is really fast, test it again. And always document your work so people can see it.
