This is undoubtedly the coolest thing that any human being has ever done. To be sure, other humans have done things much more important , like Faraday, for instance, but for straight-up badass cool , this will probably never be topped. (Note that the White House has not called Mr. Musk to congratulate him because POTUS 45 is jealous.)
