Has anyone else watched The Cloverfield Paradox yet? I won’t spoil anything but man I found it disappointing. It was like a much less intriguing remake of Danny Boyle’s Sunshine, with tenuous links to Cloverfield. Shame...

It’s not great. The fact that is was supposed to be it’s own movie before being brought into the Cloverfield franchise sometime in development really shows.

Yeah it’s a shame. 10 Cloverfield was supposed to be its own thing originally too but they made it work much better.

It’s worth watching, you may have a higher opinion of it than I do. I just kind of see it as a missed opportunity.

If you want some solid sci-fi, I totally recommend Altered Carbon! It’s like Blade Runner and Minority Report had a beautiful baby!

I actually watched episode 1 the other day and enjoyed it. My partner however did not... so I’ll have to watch when she’s doing something else.
