Sometimes when the stress of the world gets me down, I lift to downtempo.

I have an 18-hour instrumental jazz playlist that’s my go-to work music.

Love downtempo. You listen to Zero 7's early albums?

Massive Attack is always the go-to. Also like the AOL DJ sessions mixed by Thievery Corporation album.

I’m a bit out of the loop with the genre as far as modern bands go.

Honestly I usually just listen to a Pandora station I started from Thievery Corporation and thumbed up and down different things. I’m lame at being a typical OCD downtempo person.

I refused a long time ago to get bogged down with classifying the correct subgenres of subgenres of electronic music.

Yes! I also like chillstep like Blackmill, Sasha airdrawndagger and a few others when I’m doing cad shit. I’ve recently started listening to chromatics and m83. Running up that hill is a great remix.
